Dr Phelan - DVM

Dr. Phelan attended Arizona State University for her undergraduate and Colorado State University for Vet school. She has been working in different positions in vet clinics since she was 16 years old. Dr. Phelan spends her free time at the beach, river, or with her family and animals. She currently has 3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 tortoises, 1 guinea pig, several chickens. Her favorite animals are chickens!

Rick - RVT

Rick has been an RVT for 24 years, and he has been working at Trillium Veterinary Services since the clinic opened. His favorite part about working at a veterinary clinic is providing every animal that comes in with the best care. Rick fosters cats and dogs through local rescues and enjoys woodworking, using his laser printer, and panning for gold in his free time.

Patty - Receptionist

Patty has been with us at Trillium Veterinary Services since we opened and is a long term local. As the receptionist, she is usually the first person to greet clients and patients and that has always been one of her favorite aspects of the job! Outside of work, Patty likes to stay busy, working as a DJ, Sound and Energy practitioner, and Qi Gong Instructor. She is also very involved in working with our local groups associated with animal care and concerns in our area.

Kenna - Assistant

Kenna has worked at Trillium Veterinary Services for two years as an assistant. Her favorite part of working in a veterinary clinic is being able to make a difference in the lives of the pets and owners that come in, whether it’s for a wellness exam or an emergency visit. Kenna spends her time outside of work outdoors; camping, fishing, and going on trips to the lake.

Gabrielle - Assistant

Gabrielle has been at Trillium since the clinic opened. She attended Modesto JC and has been in the veterinary field for 5 years. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is simply working with all the animals and people that come through our doors. Gabrielle spends her free time outdoors with her two dogs, whether it be the beach or local hiking trails.

Shelby - assistant

Shelby, our newest employee, has been working in vet clinics for the last 3 years, and started with us a couple months ago; but has had an interest working with animals for years, participating in FFA with career development events and livestock shows. She started out as a receptionist and has worked her way up to a veterinary assistant. Shelby’s goal is to get more clinical hours under her belt before progressing onto vet school! She has 2 cats and a banana morph ball python; outside of work Shelby enjoys reading, cooking, playing video games, and spending time with her fiance. We are so excited to have her on board!

Maria - RVT

Maria has been working in veterinary clinics for 15 years and with us at Trillium Veterinary Services the last 2. She was born and raised in Northern Virginia and moved to California a number of years ago. Her favorite thing about our clinic is the variety of species we see on a regular basis. Outside of work, you can find Maria at the beach with her pup or doing yoga!

Rachel - Assistant

Rachel has been working in veterinary medicine for 2 years and with us for almost 1. She is originally from Socal but moved up to Humboldt County and attended HSU. Rachel's favorite part of the job included meeting new patients and is very passionate about the small mountain community she lives in and all the people/animals here. Outside of work you can find Rachel riding one of her three horses, or hiking and camping with her four dogs.
